Finance & Insurance

Martinez, GA

At Augusta SmileCare, we are dedicated to helping you understand your dental benefits and coverage options.

Our practice manager, Leslie, has trained our top-notch administrative team to ensure you receive the best assistance. We follow the mantra, “Inform before you perform,” meaning the cost of dental services will be reviewed with you confidentially before treatment.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we accept:

  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • Discover
  • American Express

For patients with more extensive treatment plans, we offer financing through Proceed Finance and CareCredit.

Proceed Finance

Proceed Finance helps cover treatment fees not covered by insurance or for uninsured patients. They offer low interest rates and longer terms for affordable payments, accommodating various credit situations. Prequalification takes just a few minutes, with an instant decision.

CareCredit offers no-interest financing or low minimum monthly payment options. With a simple application process, CareCredit helps you get the treatments you want when you need them. Visit CareCredit for more information or to apply online.

Dental Insurance Benefits

We accept most insurances, both in-network and out-of-network. However, we do not accept HMO plans. Regardless of your insurance status, we file claims on your behalf and request you pay your estimated co-payment at the time of service.

Dental Benefits & Our Practice

We have many patients who choose our office “out of network” due to our outstanding customer service and relationships. Insurance companies encourage in-network visits for their profit, not necessarily your best care. Choose your dentist based on reputation.

Understanding Dental Insurance

Remember, we do not work for insurance companies. We help file and track claims, but the ultimate responsibility for your dental bill remains with you. We strive to keep paperwork burdens off your shoulders, but if discrepancies arise, you may need to resolve the balance.

“It’s Not Covered By My Insurance!”

Dental insurance is more of a “benefit” than true insurance. Coverage often excludes preventive and cosmetic services, focusing on insurance company profits. Despite rising healthcare costs, many maximum benefits have remained unchanged since 1979.

In summary, dental insurance helps with bills but doesn’t cover everything. Policies are not based on scientific research but on profit models. Trust your dentist’s recommendations for the best care, not just what insurance covers.
